Stagecoaches used to roll to a stop here in the mid-1800s, and today the Coach House still offers the traveler a comfortable bed and room, considerably updated in amenities, as each of the three upstairs rooms has a charming private bathroom. All rooms feature artwork by regional artists. A comfortable commons room offers a fireplace and free wireless service. Our guests are invited to explore the rustic paths and tree-lined gardens surrounding eight historic buildings and the forever bubbling spring of Shake Rag Alley.

Carved into the same hillside rock from which mineral ore was first discovered and mined in the 1820s, the Walker House (1836) stands proud as one of the oldest and most beautiful buildings in the United States. Unplug and recharge in one of the nine guest rooms on the third floor that range from small and intimate (ideal for one or two persons) to 2-bedroom suites (perfect for small families and groups). Be comforted and charmed by the warmth of walnut wood floors, hand-crafted pine dressers and beds, and original art on the walls.

A capacious 1840s brick house that can sleep six to eight in comfortable quarters.
