With leaf-filtered light streaming in the tall, deep windows you'll find being in this unusual room a pleasure.
| An array of multi-colored 1930s windows fills one wall of the bedroom, a pleasant view from the comfortable queen bed. A small iron table and chairs nearby are just right for morning coffee. And there's a handy washer/dryer in the hall.
The bathroom features an antique corner sink and mirror made from an old iron scale. Between the old claw foot tub and the modern shower is a remarkable wall of masonry "finds",including fossils, arrowheads, unusual bricks and stone, even lead from the old Mineral Point mines, all collected and mortared into place by the mason whose stone retaining walls enliven the gardens outside. $169/night.
